How do you child-proof your workspace?

896463Okay, so you’ve child-proofed the house, the yard, the car, your mum’s house and every other space your children use.

But how do you child-proof your workspace, with all thoseĀ computer cables, electric switches, staplers, whizzy-dizzy chairs and pointy desk corners?

There are plenty of products around to help you do the job, but there’s not enough shelving kits in the world to protect your child as they duck and weave through the labyrinth that is your home office.

They say the bathroom is the most dangerous room in the house, but “they” may not have a two-year-old who thinks its hilarious to chase her brother with a stapler, or a four-year-old who thinks spinning really fast on mummy’s chair will launch him to the roof!

Not to mention those shelving kits may simply create an irresistable challenge to the aspiring rock climber in the family. Bright orange scissors three times higher than the top of my head? Let’s do it.

So where do we begin? By asking other mums, of course.

Just post a comment to share your tipsĀ on child-proofing the home office, and you may even see something you didn’t think of yourself…
